COFORD - the Programme of Competitive Forest Research for Development - is based in the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. COFORD is responsible for the development of national forest research and development policy and priorities; the formulation and implementation of the national forest research programme; and transferring the knowledge generated into practice.
